Over the past few months, I’ve taken our designs to where they matter most—the schools, students, and parents who live in uniforms every day. Visiting 25 schools across Metro Detroit wasn’t just about showcasing our work; it was about building genuine connections. Sitting down with PTAs, parent councils, student organizations, and school administrators, I heard firsthand the stories, frustrations, and hopes tied to school wear. These face-to-face interactions—knocking on doors, listening, and learning—did more to bring awareness to Studyus Monday than any social media post ever could.
The Feedback That Shaped New and Improved Looks
The feedback I received during these visits was transformative. Parents shared their frustrations about the lack of options that meet their children’s needs. Students talked about wanting uniforms that let them feel comfortable and confident. School leaders emphasized the importance of designs that respect tradition while offering practicality. Each conversation helped us refine and curate a collection that truly resonates: the button-down tunic, ruffle tunic, basic pant, utility pleated dress, and classic pleated dress.
One surprising discovery during this process was the power of color—specifically, the color blue. While the garments themselves remained unchanged in design, the introduction of blue transformed how they were perceived. It wasn’t just a new color; it brought a renewed sense of energy and identity to the uniforms. Blue has now become Studyus Monday’s official color, symbolizing calm, confidence, and creativity—the values we hope to instill in every student who wears our designs.
Each piece in this collection reflects what school uniforms can be: functional yet stylish, consistent yet expressive. They are more than just clothes; they are an opportunity for students to feel seen, comfortable, and confident every day.
What’s Next: Continuing the Story
This is just the beginning of SM's anthology. I’m excited to explore new designs and ideas that respond to the evolving needs of today’s students. Every piece we create is a step forward in redefining what school uniforms can represent—a bridge between tradition and modern expression.
Thank you for being part of this mission. Your support, feedback, and belief in what we’re building means the world. I can’t wait to share the next chapter with you as our story unfolds.
With love and gratitude,
Nawal Alsaeed
