Growth through Adversity

Since my last blog post, life has taken me on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride. While I know that in the retelling, it will sound like a thrilling adventure, living through it was anything but. It was a constant battle against the urge to flee or fight, accompanied by that unsettling feeling in the pit of my stomach. In the past three months, I encountered a significant setback when my intended business partner and I parted ways due to irreconcilable differences in work ethics. This unexpected departure left me in a precarious position, scrambling to pick up the pieces and meet looming deadlines. However, with the unwavering support of the Studyus Monday team, we rallied together, strategized, and rebuilt what we had lost. Despite facing personal and financial hardships, including the risk of bankruptcy, I found solace and renewed determination during the month of Ramadan. Taking a step back from the chaos, I immersed myself in prayer and reflection, drawing strength from my faith to persevere. As we transition into a new season, I am thrilled to welcome Kristin Huffman-Carter as a partner and COO. Kristin took the initiative, recognizing an opportunity to become a business owner, and presented me with an irresistible offer. With her expertise and dedication, Studyus Monday is poised for even greater success. Together, as CEO and COO, we are committed to expanding our boutique garment production facility into a comprehensive fashion hub that champions product development, diversity and innovation. With this I would like to reintroduce SM! Studyus Monday is not just a production house; it is a beacon of creativity and inclusivity. Guided by our mission to serve and celebrate often marginalized communities, including Muslim Americans and African Americans, we are dedicated to fostering brand development and promoting unique fashion experiences.
